Methods: Project Work
The aim of a project or work group is to work on a subject or a question in a group and to present the results after a given period of time.
This is done on the assumption that the solving of the task will be planned, prepared and executed by the group. The question of getting materials and working with them, as well as the question of work division, has to be planned and coordinated. By dividing the work every group member can take an active part in the project work.
It helps to write down the individual steps and to document them. Friendly and helpful behaviour contributes to the success of the project work. Have a look at the entry in the glossary under ‘discussing’.
A newspaper or magazine, an exhibition, a film, a homepage, a book, a radio programme or an essay can be complied for the presentation of the project.
At the end of the project work it is important to discuss how it went together.
